See 2.2.3.1.1 note 2 of RID:

"By derogation from paragraph 2.2.3.1.1 above, diesel fuel, gas oil, heating oil (light) including synthetically manufactured products having a flash-point above 60 C and not more than 100 C shall be deemed substances of Class 3, UN No. 1202."

According to RSEB, number 2-19.2, the CONCAWE studies recommend an additional classification as an environmentally hazardous substance. There are no findings that speak against this recommendation. However, if concrete test data are available that lead to a different classification according to the criteria for classification in paragraphs 2.2.9.1.10.3 and 2.2.9.1.10.4 of ADN, these test results shall be applied with priority (see also Number 2-3 of the RSEB).
